Before you even begin your quest of building an Internet empire, you need to take a good look at the basics of Web Site Marketing.

Get Organized First!

These guys make truly wonderful software and I just had to mention it because I know it will help you too.  Time and Chaos manages all my phone numbers, appointments, and To Do lists in a truly wonderful way.  This program really has kept me organized and increased my productivity.  They have a free trial so you should definitely give it a try.

In order for you to make money on the Internet you’ll need three things: 

#1) Demand for your product
#2) Visitors to your website
#3) A Web Site that sells

I can help you with second and third one and in fact I will GUARANTEE you that if you follow the instructions we share on this site you will have plenty of visitors to your site and have the opportunity to close those sales.  I can’t  help you with the first one, however.  If there isn’t much demand for your product then nothing will help.  You’ll simply have to go find another product.  This is why it is crucial that you do the proper research to make sure you have a product that is in demand.

Most of you probably already know if there is a demand for your product.  If somebody else is selling something very similar and making good money, then with some work on your part, you can also.  If you’re already getting 100 Gazillion hits a month and you’re still not making any money, then you need to seriously consider changing your product!  Keep checking back for updates, or even better subscribe to our newlsletter or RSS feed.

Here are some other things you will need to do in order to be successful in Internet Marketing:

Build an opt-in list of interested, targeted prospects and provide them with a free newsletter with interesting content that will help you stay in touch with them. You will also be able to share products and services that you use yourself and possibly earn a referral fee or commission for soing do. Just don't turn your newsletters into pitch fests. I get a lot of these and I typically unsubscribe when they become nothing more than salesletters.

Submit your sites to targeted and relevant search engine directories and strive for the highest possible rankings. One of the things that will help you achieve this is link popularity which is getting relevant links from sites that are somewhat related to the theme of your own. You can also get reciprical links from other sites in which you exchange links with them. Make sure you are trading links with good page rank to get the best benefit from this.

Use autoresponders to follow up with visitors, prospects, and customers. This simple tool will help you to dramatically increase your profits and help you to manage your list better. Be sure to keep your newslettter going out on a regular basis and also if your list is linked to your blog, keep it updated frequently.

Don’t try to do everything you find here at once.  Instead, just work a little bit each day on implementing the concepts.  Just an hour or two a day will make a HUGE difference over a year’s time.
