If you don’t even know what I am talking about, don’t worry, I’ll explain…

If you do know what article marketing is, then you are likely already using this technique to generate traffic and links to your site.

Basically, in a nutshell, article marketing is where you utilize the power of article directories to generate links to your site. What you do is simply write articles about the niche that your products or services are in. You might write some “how to” articles, you might write some articles about “why” certain ideas or products are better than others. Once you start thinking about it, the information that you already possess about your given niche or topic can fill a lot of articles. You only need to write articles that are about 500 – 600 words long.

How do these articles help you?

Well, quite simply, if you could get other websites, newsletters or e-zines to publish your written work, you could become an “expert” in your field or niche, couldn’t you? Isn’t that what makes an “expert” an “expert” – other people listen to and quote what they say.

If you write interesting and informative articles, then more people are apt to read them and in turn, use your articles as content. See, the thing that I haven’t told you yet is the bonus… any time you submit an article to a directory, they allow you to have what is called a “resource box”. This is a paragraph at the bottom of the article where you, quite simply, tell a bit about yourself – or your company, product or service. Most often, they will allow you to have a link in your resource box that directs back to your own website. So now, as publishers pick up and use your article, you are getting all of these links back to your website. Better still, the links are on the same page as the topic of your niche and very relevant to the content in your website. Now you should start to see the power of this activity.

You publish an article relevant to your niche, people read it, use it and you get a link back to your website.

So, that is great, how do I publish my articles?

Well, one option is to go to some of the article directories and submit your articles by hand one at a time. Certainly this can be done but it is very time consuming, wasting time that could be better spent writing more articles. What I would recommend is to use an article submission service and let them submit your article all over the web. They have lists of article directories that would take you a very long time to even come up with, forget submitting to each of them.

Better yet, read through this free little book called “The 4 Ridiculously Simple Keys to Online Success” that will bring you up to speed.

You want to advertise your business online through article marketing; the only problem is that, writing is not your thing. Article marketing has been proven to be one of the most effective methods in endorsing an online business. It has pulled generous traffic for many sites.

But not everyone can easily write articles with good content. Even professional writers have difficulty sometimes in writing informative and quality articles. If you have the interest, here are some steps that you can follow in order to construct a good article that will surely attract readers.

Come up with an interesting title. An interesting title is something that will tell your readers what they will get from reading your article. State it in a direct manner. “How To” articles are one of the popular searches in the internet. It is a good way to start your titles with that.

It has also been observed that readers are drawn to read articles with titles that involve odd numbers. It will be interesting to consider this in your titles as well. You can probably state 7 ways to… or 5 tips on…

Address your article to one person. Most people are interested to read something which they feel is written for them. The pronoun “you” makes more impact than the use of them or everyone. If you address your article to a particular reader, it becomes more personal and the reader will feel that you are directly talking to him.

Make sure that you get your readers attention in the introductory sentence of your paragraph. If a reader thinks that your first few lines are boring, he will look for other interesting articles to read. To avoid this, develop a striking opening statement that will make readers want to read more.

Define your ideas and present them in an organize way. A well written article does not mean that it has all the topics a person can think of. Better identify about three to five ideas and present each idea in a paragraph. It will allow you to have more focus on what you are writing and the reader will not find your article too overwhelming with information.

Complete your article with an invitation for your reader to take action. Here is where your resource box comes in. Put a link that your reader can click on to access your site. Provide valuable information about you and your line of business. And take advantage of the few lines you can include in the box to lure readers to check out your website.

One of the best ways to endorse your site is to use article marketing. Many sites have benefited from this marketing strategy. It is quite simple because the articles don’t have to contain too much promotion for the site’s product or business. The topic doesn’t have to be about why product X is better than Y or about the wonders of that particular item.

These can be articles that contain information about related topics on the site’s line of business. One good article example may be about the “Top ten camping sites” to endorse an online business that deals with outdoor gears.

In order for an article to successfully connect to your site, it has to catch the attention of the readers. Here are some tips on how to come up with an effective article suited for article marketing. If you are not confident of your writing skills, you can hire freelance writers to do it for you.

Start with a good title. A good title will entice the readers to read the article. Most of the titles that grab attention are those that start with “How to…” and Tips on…” People want to read about something informative. Titles which start with these words are captivating. It suggests that they will gain something from it.

Be specific with your title as well. Tell your readers the benefits of reading your article. Long titles are OK right as long as it conveys a direct thought. It is not recommended to come up with very long titles though as it may mislead the message of the entire article.

Write good content that is interesting to read. Although it is a plus to have a good title, content is still the most significant part of the article. Make sure that the idea you want to present are organized and are presented in an orderly manner. Information is only interesting if the readers understand what the writer is trying to say.

Check your grammar, spelling and the rest of your articles at least twice. It is better if you have someone that can check it for you. If you check your own work, there is a huge possibility that you will overlook some of your mistakes. If someone else will do it for you, he will surely be more meticulous.

The success of an article depends on the number of readers it generates. So grab their attention with your titles and make sure that they continue reading with your impressive content.

Access to information has opened a lot of doors for entrepreneurs. It allowed them to do business online and reach a greater number of people through establishing a website. This has enabled businesses to reach people from the different parts of the world without spending a lot on plane tickets and location campaign. But the online competition has also gone up to a higher level. With millions of pages on the same niche, it is difficult for most sites to make it to the top of the search engine’s results.

It is important to develop a way to stay on top of the search engines to let your target market know of your existence on line. New online businesses are created every single day. If you don’t take a competitive strategy, your site will be forgotten in a snap. Promoting your site through article marketing is a practical and effective way of ensuring that this does not happen.

Article marketing is a proven strategy that has been working for different sites today. It uses informative articles that talks about related topics regarding the company’s line of business. If your company is into car distribution, you can provide informative articles about “summer maintaining tips for automobiles”. You can also cite different safety precautions in driving on unfamiliar terrains. People usually search for interesting and informative articles to read.

Here are some simple tips on how to promote your site through articles:

All you have to do is write an article related to your line of business.

Make sure that it has a good content, one that is interesting to read in order to invite more readers.

Include a link in the article that directs the readers back to your site. This way, the potential customer will have a glimpse of your site and may look around to do make a purchase.

The article is not the only thing that you should pay attention to. If you want to maximize article marketing, you also have to pay attention to the details included in the resource box. Make sure that you include the following information in the about you or your company:

A link that leads directly to your site. Indicate your company’s URL or complete website.

It should include your full name and your position.

Add striking description about your line of business. This has to be reflected in three sentences at most.

And finally, it should contain an invitation for the reader to take some action, whether to visit the site or contacting a business representative.

Good article marketing will help you establish a reputable online business. Try out with a few articles and master the basics, it’s the best way to stay competitive.

One of the best venues for marketing your product is the internet. If you have a website for your products, it will be easier for customers to find the items they want to purchase. It is convenient because they don’t have to leave their homes just to shop.

One of the biggest challenges in online marketing today is to generate desired traffic for your site. With the competition of businesses online, it is rather difficult to get your customer to even look at your site. It is also a big challenge to make it to the top of search engine’s results page or SERP.

Doing business online is very similar with traditional business. If you want to hit your goal, you have to come up with an effective marketing strategy. You have to find a way to entice your potential customers to visit your site. One of the proven ways to do this is through article marketing. Here some of the reasons why it can help your online business:

People who surf the net are usually looking for an interesting write up. Well written articles capture a lot of readers. You can use these articles to share information to potential clients and to direct them to your site.

You can use well written articles to direct customers to you by providing a link that leads directly to your site. You can post your article in your own webpage or submit it to other websites specifically article directories.

Submitting articles with good content to other sites are also a form of free advertising for you. If you decide to submit it to other sites, choose the ones that are well known so you can take advantage of their popularity. The articles should not necessarily promote your products or services. For example, if your website is about children’s furniture, you can submit articles that provide information about how to teach children to organize things and provide a link that will direct customers to your website.

Every time you post articles to other sites, you accumulate link partners. The more link partners you have, the better it is for your site. Increasing link popularity is important since it is one of the major factors that search engines consider in ranking your site in search results.

Using informative articles is one of the simplest and most convenient ways of getting target traffic for your site. So instead of keeping those ideas to yourself, post it or share it, you will reap the rewards in no time.

There are many people who dread having to write papers or articles. Many just feel

like it seems to be too much work and it all just goes to waste when no one reads

it. To some people, reading articles seems like work to, especially if the article

is boring and very bland. Well, articles are supposed to be read, that’s their

purpose to impart your message and information. If it is not read then it is a waste

of time and effort.

But all the same, articles have to be written to be read. It’s just a matter of

making them good. Making a good article doesn’t have to be strenuous and straining.

There are just some points needed to be reminded of, and some guides to follow.

Once you get the hang of it, writing articles could be fun, as well as profitable

for you and your site.

Of course, writing articles must be about something you know about, that’s why if

you own a site, you probably is knowledgeable about that certain topic and theme.

When you write about it, you won’t have a hard time because you already know what

it is and what it’s about. It’s just a matter of making your articles creative and

interesting.

To make sure that your articles get read and enjoyed, here are six red hot tips to

get your articles read. These tips will make your articles readable and interesting.

1) Use short paragraphs. When the paragraph are very long, the words get jumbled in

the mind of the reader just looking at it It can get quite confusing and too much of

a hard work to read. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move

on to much easier reading articles that are good to look at as well as read.

Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!

2) Make use of numbers or bullets. As each point is stressed out, numbers and bullets

can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point,

tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, readers will know that this

is where the tips start and getting stressed. Format you bullets and numbers with

indentations so that your4 article won’t look like a single block of square

paragraphs. Add a little bit of flair and pizzazz to your articles shape.

3) Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this will break

each point into sections but still would be incorporated into one whole article. It

would also be easy for the reader to move on from one point to another; the

transition would be smooth and easy. You will never lose your readers attention as

well as the point and direction to where the article is pointing.

4) Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a

person’s curiosity you’re already halfway in getting a person to read your article.

Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are looking for.

Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content but should also be

short and concise.

Use titles like, "Tips on making her want you more", or "How to make her swoon and

blush" .You could also use titles that can command people, for example, "Make her

yours in six easy Ways". These types of titles reach out to a persons’ emotions and

makes them interested.

5) Keep them interested from the start to the finish. From your opening paragraph,

use real life situations that can be adopted by the reader. Use good descriptions

and metaphors to drive in your point, just don’t over do it. Driving your examples

with graphic metaphors and similes would make it easy for them to imagine what you

are talking about. Making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.

6) Utilize figures when necessary and not just ordinary and insipid statements.

Using specific facts and figures can heighten your article because it makes it

authoritative. But do not make it too formal, it should be light and easy in them

and flow. Like a friendly teach her having a little chat with an eager student.

One of the most important aspects of internet marketing is getting traffic to your website. If you send more people to your website, you will make more money. If you publish advertisements, your advertisers will pay more for the increased amount of traffic your website has and thus how much traffic you send them. If you sell a product or service, the amount of traffic you get will correlate very strongly with the amount of sales you make. In this article, I will explain some different ways you can get traffic to your website.

Pay for It – The first option is that you can buy traffic. You can do this by purchasing advertisements. You can buy banner ads or text links. You can even pay bloggers to blog about your website. You can also buy a certain amount of traffic from a pay-per-click service, such as Google AdSense, Microsoft AdCenter, or Yahoo Search Marketing.

Start a Blog – If you do not already have a blog, it is a great way to get traffic to your website. Both users and search engines love blogs because blogs are a constant source of useful and fresh content. Blogs generally come with standard features that cause them to help promote themselves. For example, they have RSS and ping services which notify others when you make a post. You’d be surprised how much a good blog can promote itself.

Forum Posting – Most forums allow users to put a link in their signature, which is displayed below their posts. You can take advantage of that by going to forums related to your niche, and posting in them with a link to your website in the signature. It will not work well if you spam. The trick is to make useful posts that interest other users and get them to click on your signature link. If your time is valuable, you can always pay other people to post on forums with a link in your signature, but you will want to make sure that they do not spam.

Article Marketing – Another way to promote your website is by writing articles and submitting them to other websites. At the end of the article, you can put a link back to your website. If the article is good, interested people will click the link back to your website .You can submit your article to article directories. You can also give the article exclusively to one website. Popular websites will be more willing to publish an article that is exclusive.

Blog Commenting – You can post comments on blogs, and you will usually have the option to enter your URL. When people read your comments, they may click through to see your website. This works much like forum posting. Again, the trick is to not spam but to make quality comments so that readers will be inclined to check out your website. The more helpful you are, the more helpful they will assume your website is.

Those are just some ways to get traffic to your website. Different methods work better or worse for different websites. Test out different ways of promoting your website and find what works best for you.

Article marketing simply refers to using articles about a specific topic to act as a marketing tool.

As a business owner or seller of a product/service, you write articles that are relevant to your industry and you provide useful information that your customers would benefit from. This can benefit businesses both online and offline. That is right, we are not just talking here about online marketing.

If you run an offline business, you can use article marketing. The internet simply offers a different form of distribution – it does not change the fundamentals behind the idea.

The point of article marketing is to build credibility and trust between you and your customers. You offer them free, useful information that is relevant to them and you look like a hero. They respect you for it.

Because an article provides useful information to your reader, they are more likely to read it than to look at a simple advertisement. You may get an opportunity to present yourself or your product/service in a way they would otherwise not experience.

If you are working an online business, you can distribute the articles through blogs or article directories or a monthly newsletter. Other sites pick these up because of the information in the article (the benefit to them) and happily allow you to display your contact information on the bottom of the article (the benefit to you).

If you are working an offline business, you can submit your articles to community newspapers or trade magazines – again displaying your information on the bottom. You can also use your articles as a monthly newsletter you mail out to your clients. Again, they are more likely to read it because it offers them value. It also keeps your product or service right in front of them each month.

The articles you use don’t have to be great novels or anything like that and you don’t have to be an expert writer to create an article. The fact is that you are in the business you are in because you know something about that industry or provide a service that people need. So already have a lot of information you can share. Give hints and tips on how to better use a product, share experiences or give advise as it pertains to your industry. Write it down and get it out there.

Your customers will thank you for it – likely with more sales.

One of the hottest methods of driving traffic to web sites today is through article marketing. Believe me, I know, as of this writing I am the number three author at Ezine Articles. If you are unfamiliar with the term “article marketing”, it means to either write articles or have them written and then submit them to the various article directories, like EzineArticles.com for example. The ideal length is around 500 words; most article directories will not accept an article of less than 450 words and on the other side if you get too wordy people won’t take the time to read it.

Website owners are continually searching for content for their sites and for people who have numerous sites it is far easier to get articles from article directories and use them than it is to write it themselves or pay to have it done. So, how do you benefit? The people using your content must keep the resource box at the bottom of the article intact which has a link back to the site you want to promote. We will go more into that later. If you want to get the best bang for your buck you should aim to write an article a day for a new site. If you do this and submit it to all of the major directories you will get a big boost in traffic and consequently, more income. Search engines love articles and they constantly crawl the article directories looking for the content which also makes article submission a good way to help get a new site indexed. By placing unique articles on your own web sites it will also help increase your page rank from Google.

As you become more prolific with your article writing you will become well known as an author. If you specialize in a particular niche, this will help to give you a reputation of being an expert in your chosen field. For me, I write on a wide variety of subjects due to the fact that I own so many websites and also write for other people. I have actually been contacted to do interviews on TV and radio stations just from the articles I have written. So, another added benefit is that you may receive publicity from offline contacts as well.

One piece of advice that I would give when writing an article is to think about the audience that you want to pick up and republish your article. Generally, it is better to write about as broad a subject as you can in order to receive the most backlinks from publishers picking up your articles from the directories. Also, the popularity of the niche you have chosen will also come into play as far as how many people choose to republish it. I wrote an article titled “The Secret To Getting Indexed In Hours By All The Major Search Engines” and it was picked up initially by over 6,000 webmasters! Conversely if you were to write an article about a more obscure topic it may only get picked up a few times.

Now, let’s go over the resource box. This is where you are allowed to promote yourself. Most article directories only allow you to place one anchor text link here. What I like about Ezine Articles is that they allow you to put three. This allows you to promote three different links along with three different anchor texts which is a huge benefit. To see samples of good resource boxes check out mine as well as some of the other top authors such as Tim Gorman.

Get 500 Free Articles from www.500Articles.com
