This post may end up being more of a rant but I got to get it out.
There is TOO MUCH INFORMATION available today – especially for people starting out online!
There is money to be made on the internet and people are making it – no doubt about it. But it is difficult for a new person to start out!
Why?
Because every time you turn around, someone has a "new" way of doing something. The latest method or gimmick.
The truth of it is that marketing online is pretty simple. it isn’t easy about its simple.
In its simplest form you provide a service or sell a product on the Internet by generating traffic to your website and converting that traffic into a paying customer. Certainly, there are a number of ways to do this but quite simply that is what has to happen to make money on the Internet. To elaborate a bit it would be best to focus your website specifically to a target market or niche. It makes the marketing more focused and will produce better results. Once people come to your website you should be collecting their e-mail address and giving them free information. You will then further of follow-up with them through e-mail, continue to give them information, and then sell them a product.
The problem is that without action nothing will happen. The biggest challenge on the Internet today, in my opinion, is for people to realize that they don’t need all of the information that’s out there. People don’t need to know all of the latest and greatest ways of doing something, all of the different techniques, gimmicks or tricks available. What they need to do is act.
There are a number of different ways of making money online, but you don’t need to know them all. Once you find one way to make money, start doing it! the sooner you start making money, the more successful you will be. Success fosters more success. A marketer’s first sale is very exciting. And once a person has a small amount of success they will be more inclined to work harder to achieve a higher level.
But even a small victory will not come without action.
So instead of trying to learn all of the different ways to make money online, put down the e-book you are reading and go set up an affiliate website, PPC campaign, blog, or write some articles. Content is king on the Internet, create good content and readers will find it.
Stop learning now, start making money.
